Costa del Sol Beach Guide

The Costa del Sol stretches along just over 150 kilometres of Málaga province and is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations. With long hot summers merging into the mildest of winters it is possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities such as sailing, fishing, scuba diving, windsurfing, and boating all year round. With its plentiful sunshine and sheltered coastline the Costa del Sol is a perfect family destination.

The Costa del Sol has numerous well-kept beaches and many of them have been awarded the European Blue Flag award for high standards of water and sand hygiene.

On the popular bathing beaches you will be able to hire shade and sun-beds as well as having shower facilities. Don’t forget to visit a 'Chiringuito', bars on the beach or sea front, they serve cold drinks and delicious food including fresh fish, try the char-grilled sardines they are fantastic.

Whether you are looking for a small, private cove or miles and miles of soft golden sand, the Costa del Sol has something for everyone.

Sofas on the Beach - you can really chill out at this stunning, modern beach restaurant which has funky single & double loungers, and should you want it plenty of shade too. The restaurant is top class with an interesting & varied menu - from Lebanese mezzes to pasta & of course a good choice of fish. You can either dine inside or out on the attractive wooden decking that overlooks the beach.

Highly recommended for all the family, sun beds / chill beds from 10 to 30 euros per day.

La Sal Beach Restaurant

Info & Reviews » La Sal - (West of Estepona - Sabanillas). Ideally located for Vista del Mar, Paraiso de la Bahia, Bay View & La Perla Beach apartments.

Another of my favourites -this is an excellent upmarket beach bar and very popular with tourists and locals. The clams cooked in brandy are interesting but the paella and fish kebabs are excellent. To avoid disappointment reserving a table and paella is recommended, especially at the weekends.
